We at GDGIS, Kapurthala use Smart Classroom Concept with the use of interactive Whiteboards or Smart Boards. These allow students to interact with the lesson content while allowing teachers to integrate a range of resources with their lessons.
Such classrooms transform into an interactive forum for sharing experiences among students, thus helping in widening their analytical faculties. Classrooms are spacious, centrally air conditioned and have lighting arrangements as per international standards. The number of students in each class is restricted, so that the teachers can give individual attention to each student. Aesthetically designed furniture has been provided in each classroom, keeping in mind the comfort of the child. Each classroom of the Junior School has been made to cater to the creative needs of the Tiny Tots.
A computer lab to make the students tech-savvy and to keep them abreast with the latest techniques that teaches not just computer as a subject, but also, the integration of computer skills for learning of other subjects in the curriculum.
Students are made familiar with the software packages used in modern business applications, such as word-processing, MS PowerPoint, spreadsheets, databases and presentations.

We at GDGIS help the students to explore new ideas and learn by doing with well equipped and state of the art laboratories, where the students are provided opportunities to question, explore, examine, analyze, hypothesize and draw inferences thus building a scientific temperament.
A state-of-the-art Language Lab has been developed for providing greater emphasis to the language skills of the students. This ultramodern facility and equipment caters to the future needs of our growing children in times when language and communication skills have come to pay great importance.
The language lab is the School's foray into successful implementation of novel teaching methods to cultivate effective language skills in its students. Curriculum Designing, including the use of audio- visual aids, is a crucial aspect of the teaching process. The Language Lab of the school with the facilities for audio and video recordings and analysis is very useful for honing students' language skills. It houses state-of- the-art equipments and a well- stocked reference section in the form of audio and video cassettes, magnetic tapes, slides, documentaries and films pertaining to various foreign languages. This material is extensively utilized in designing the programs for teaching of languages.
There is a Library where students have access to best books, encyclopedias and reference material. Open shelf system has been introduced to allow the students an easy access to the books, journals, magazines, newspapers, and encyclopedias. Separate reading room and reference sections are also available. Information is the heartbeat of meaningful learning in schools. Exponential growth, availability and access to information, particularly electronic information on Internet does not imply learning. At the library of GDGIS, Kapurthala we strive to create a learning environment that empowers students to connect with, engage with and utilize the information in meaningful and purposeful ways. Fundamental to this learning environment is the development of a school wide information service where learners have opportunities to access multiple sources and forms of information and the appropriate technologies to do so.
We have developed strong library and information services which are essential to a learning program that values the cognitive, cultural, social, affective, technological and spiritual development of students in a globalized, multicultural and unlimited world. Librarian is actively engaged in the development of curriculum across all learning areas to ensure the integration of information skills, and a carefully planned library program that is implemented collectively and collaboratively.
A fleet of deluxe buses that are owned and managed by the school pick and drop the child from a circumference of 20 kilometers area around the school.
All buses provided by GDGIS, Kapurthala are equipped with 24x7 real time vehicle tracking systems. Visibility, current location, speed, distance and routes can be monitored to provide further safety and security to children. Other features like Geo-fencing, Park-fencing, way-points, panic/SOS switch etc. are various safety parameters which contribute to enhanced security standards in our buses.
Our buses conform to the design adopted by GD Goenka and are in accordance with all the rulings of Supreme Court. Students are accompanied by a conductor, guard and teacher in the buses. The transport facility of GDGIS is also provided with a GPS System. As the safety of the students is paramount hence adequate care is being taken for safety of students at all times.
GD Goenka International School, Kapurthala is continuously working towards the betterment of the School.
Safety is a critical aspect to be monitored in the school. Considering this to ensure and secure our safety standards, we have CCTV cameras installed in the entire school premises that cover every nook and corner. The school transport is also CCTV camera equipped and GPS enabled.
